Applications to coach can be accessed by logging into our RAMP registration system (same login as player registration) at http://pcpba.rampregistrations.com/ and selecting Staff Registration - Coaching Application. You will select the division and coach position, review and acknowledge policies and expectations, complete Application indicating which level you would like to coach at, and complete Screening Disclosure Form.
If you already have a criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening issued in accordance with the requirements below you can upload it right into your registration. Otherwise, one can be obtained from your local municipal police force or the RCMP depending on where you live. A letter can be downloaded from within the coach registration process that you can provide when requesting the CRC-VSS.
Enhanced Police Information Check (EPIC/CRC)/Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) Requirements:
1. First time coaching with Association - Must submit CRC-VSS issued to the applicant within last 12 months and complete Screening Renewal Certification.
2. Coached with Association last season - Must complete Screening Renewal Certification (provided previous CRC-VSS is on file).
3. Coached with Association last season and CRC-VSS dated more than 30 months from date of Application - Must submit a new CRC-VSS.
Coaches are selected annually by the Port City Pirates Baseball Association Board of Directors Executive Committee. The selection process involves a criminal record screening and may also involve a check of references and personal interview.
For competitive teams online applications must be submitted no later than March 29th, 2024. For all other divisions the deadline is April 30, 2024.
